ABOUT ME

Toronto Therapist

Over the past nine years I have worked in community health care and mental health settings, providing accessible, confidential, and equitable services to youth and adults. In my personal life my passions have led me to have a dedicated art, mindfulness and Iyengar yoga practice.

I began my counselling work in sexual health education and through providing anti-homophobia and anti-transphobia workshops. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at McGill University and my Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) at the Wurzweiler School of Social Work – Yeshiva University. I have gained experience as a school social worker and at community health centres providing individual and group therapy and community outreach. As well, I volunteered for several years at the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre Multicultural Women Against Rape. I have also worked in child and family mental health providing individual and family counselling and intensive home and community based support.

I am dedicated to ongoing professional development. The importance of exploring the mind body connection in healing and my passion for integrative psychotherapy has led me to complete trainings in Internal Family Systems, Relational Psychotherapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and parts work for complex trauma. I am a Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist and Safe and Sound Protocol Provider.

I am a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Social Workers and Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and am governed by their Code of Ethics
